+1 I trust what I heard directly from Matt a month ago over what your dealer is telling you. They may be having problems getting a '12 allocation because it's coming to an end, but there will be a '13 3 series coupe/convertible.
Think about the simple facts. Very little of the base coupe and convertible have been seen testing regularly, so the car isn't finalized, and hasn't been shown in concept of near production format. They are not going to go without a coupe in the 3 series for an entire year as they finish development and ramping up production tooling. It's their volume selling, they have to have a car for people to buy, so the E92 will be around in '13.
