This is correct.
When the Safelite installer came to my house to replace my sandblasted and cracked windshield last month he looked puzzled and said "This is an '08? Original windshield? This trim is in the best shape I've ever seen on one of these cars. They're usually all rotted and cracked."

I told him that I watched a youtube DIY video and replaced the trim 2 years ago.

When he installed the new windshield, he put the trim on the glass before lowering the glass.
Used the trim as the location gauge. Pretty clever.
