Front and rear windshields don't need to be removed. Perhaps the weather stripping. You shouldn't need to sand the carbon fiber before applying clear either otherwise you run the risk of damaging the weave. I basically did exactly what the other comment did and it came out like new.

I think you need to remove the glass to change the weather stripping. Mine was really dried up and cracked.
