Also, I'm not planning to do any other suspension mods, so I wonder if I will end up with the 4x4 effect with these wheels. The only suspension mods I would consider is if Dinan comes out with a ZCP kit that looks like it makes some sense. Thoughts?
It looks like the wheels are about the same color as your car (or a bit darker). It should look ok. You could always get them powder coated locally (black would likely look great) if you didn't like them. I'm guessing the wheels have less offset than the ZCP wheels (which will push them out in the wheel well). You can also think about 255/40 and 275/40 sizes rather than the OEM 245/40 & 265/40's. Here's photos of Radiation Joe's new car when he first put the 18" RAC's on it (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...postcount=4055). I'm pretty sure it has the standard (non-ZCP) suspension in the photos although he's added a Dinan suspension now (but I couldn't find any current photos). As another reference, my car has standard suspension, 255/35x19 & 275/35x19, 9"+22 & 10"+22. There are pictures of it here: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=410207
