The fan won't slip straight out of the shroud with the harness still connected to the fan motor.
The harness wires route into the side of the fan motor (perpendicular to the axis of the motor shaft), and then get hung up on the wireway channel of the shroud as I try to move the fan out of its counterbore (toward the radiator).
It must be possible, since shrouds can be purchased separately?
