Definitely looking into a test pipe setup.
I had an OEM mod, then resonated test pipes added, then swapped OEM mod to Corsa. Not sure if this will help, but the test pipes + Corsa is a very clean sound, pretty loud, but not crazy 'raspy' loud. To me, it's a perfect balance of tone and loudness, which usually go one way or another win many setups.. A few weeks ago I got to hear it for the first time outside of my car, I was surprised how good and loud it was compared to inside the car windows down.

This is just a boring sample clip I made right after I got the Corsa installed, so just one short run to capture the sound for comparison purposes. (mic mounted on bumper)
