My prior car was a 2004 G35 coupe with basically the same VQ35 motor, and it's a big difference to the E92 M3. We're talking about 1-1.5 seconds difference in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, which can definitely be felt in real world driving. And, yes, most of the rush and push in the back comes in above 4500RPM. Where the car really shines is on the track. So balanced, so capable, and so good.
Obvioulsy the refinement, luxury and comfort make this a much more sophisticated platform than the 350z.
