I didn't realize that DCT clutch replacement was not a common maintenance item. Neat.

I shouldn't be surprised, though. BMW clutches are notorious for longevity. I've never had to replace one in the mutiple high mileage BMWs I've owned. Even my current 328i is at 168k miles and showing no signs of slip.

Out of all the expensive maintenance items, it seems BMW has at least nailed the clutch designs for decades! Maybe one day they'll get the rod bearings/cooling systems/valvetrains right
