On the serious side... Definite progress with the offer but not good enough IMO. Stand your ground and you will get what you are fully entitled to... namely, the price you already agreed to pay. I too would be a little worried about the dealership screwing with the car as mentioned above since their "shady-ness" has already been witnessed.
This is what happens when big companies try to take advantage and cut corners....
