This has solved numerous squeaks and creaks over the years for me. I use this on window and door seals as well and on the hinges for the fold down rear seats and any other latch for that matter which is metal on metal.
This is the stuff the dealer uses so I figured it was good enough for me and it takes care of the majority of the little, but obnoxious noises.
