All of that is irrelevant though really. Most of each car's driving time will be done on public roads. Whatever happens there, like swamp said, will probably be a driver's race.

A couple of tenths either way at the strip is only significant to the fast and furious crowd who live life a quarter mile at a time.
Four seconds on a 2 mile track with actual turns and braking zones says a lot more about the overall potential of a car.
Streets are for driving, not "racing."
