If I remember the progression of stalling in my car correctly, initially it only occurred after a fill up. It didn't happen every time. Then it happened just about every time. Then occasionally it would stall well after a fill up.
It is something that can be addressed with service that requires removing the plenum. The part isn't expensive, only tricky part is removing the back hose.
