For reference, here's what i've used:
Yokohama W.drive - Terrible winter tire. Just not good at all.
Pirelli Sottozero 240 Serie II - Impressive all around but lacked a little in snow/ice grip. Overall I liked them.
Continental DWS - Awful steering response and turn-in but good grip in most conditions.
