No, it has more to do with tire construction and suspension settings, not front-to-back relative sizes. Put on a set of bias-ply tires and you'll experience a whole other dimension crossing uneven pavement.
Tires with stiffer sidewalls, like most R-coumpounds, will tend to be worse at it than most street compound tires.
