The (brand new, ordered from BMW) X6 fronts and X5 rears were almost precisely 10mm shorter free length than (used) OEM '08 springs

Richbot ! I quoted one of your posts in my initial post. Thanks for sharing again. A lot of the information seems to be conflicting whether the springs were the same length or not.
