I don't get it. It's a car, drive it. Drive the hell out of it. And 50k isn't high for any modern car anyway. That's practically the first oil change on these things (kidding... sorta) I'm thinking 100k is more in the ballpark to get an accurate estimation of problematic things getting replaced.
to try to get to 100k i'm going to change the oil at least every 7500 miles,about twice as often as the factory interval.it's an expensive oil change,but cheap insurance.i think waiting until 15k miles is too long,and some mechanics have agreed with me.i was pleased to find that the first owner had done it every 5k or so,so the car started out right.
