Sounds like a noisy lifter to me, no way that is heatshield... Too high pitched to be rod bearing, and irregular. Must be oil pressure related and a lazy lifter. Change to oil to thicker stock 10w-60 and see what you get.
This is why I never recommend going outside the manufacturer recommendation for anything, never ever.
