Were the rear damper upper mounts designed specifically for the shaft mounting length (unthreaded + threaded) and diameter of your damper?

Depending on the material of the mounts, your only options are to (1) shave their thickness (safety issue?) or (2) see if they make a set with a thinner combined height. I've dealt with a similar situation...

When I first ordered my TCK setup, GC machined the camber plate bushing to fit the GC/Koni front strut which has a much shorter mounting length and different taper from the TCK/Koni strut...solution was to machined new shorter adapters/sleeves and bushings.
