I think prices have stabilized for the most part. For a mint late model example, you're going to have to pay around $30-35k. I don't see that price going up anytime soon but I don't see it going down either. ~$25k will get you a clean car but maybe higher miles. ~$20k you're going to see 08's with 100k+ miles. Any lower and I wouldn't even consider buying them.
I would rather pay more up front to get a nicer example. Probably end up costing you less in the long run.
