This is an old thread sorry to resurrect this back up I also have an exhaust leak sound on cold start. It's very loud and annoying well it sounds like an exhaust leak as explained above. I had it on a lift and looked around to me on a cold start with my ears against eh exhaust it sounded like a very loud echo inside the catalytic converters. I inspected the heads and did not see any burn marks of signs of exhaust leak so that isn't an issue. Again, is sounds like a very loud echo in the Cats, it does this on cold start and continues at idle when a bit warmed up. When completely warmed it's quiet. However, when first taking off I hear it still temporary low Rpms. Any thoughts to share please share.
