What was the cause of the failure? Sorry if it's an obvious answer - I'm new to M3's and have just started looking at buying recently.
Hi Somerset Jim,

Thank you for kind words, the pictures really don't do it justice. The car had covered 56k miles before the engine was replaced. The bottom end bearing had gone, had a very slight knocking noise coming from the engine, took it straight into dealership, who had immediately ordered the new engine and got it swapped out. Although these engines are solid, it is a fairly common (and very expensive) fault.

Along with the engine, it had all new Oil Cooler, pipes and ancillaries installed and its never missed a beat since.

You are definitely looking for the right car, BMW M3 in convertible... Sun, Roof Down and a V8...nothing else required.
