I'm all for ingenuity and trying to save money where possible, but this is not one of those instances... The shift knob choice is a matter of personal taste, nothing wrong with that. But the boot looks like absolutely horrible. The 3rd stitching seam doesn't line up with anything and just randomly extends diagonally. It looks completely out of place.
