I had a manual E90 M3 and recently sold it for an RS4. It was the only other 4-door car with a high-revving, non-turbo V8. On back roads I find it just as capable and quick as my M3 without feeling too much understeer. The extra torque is noticeable and the exhaust sounds deep and throaty. I do really miss my M3, though, and could see myself buying another one. If I was to track my cars, the M3 would be the one to get. For 6/10ths driving, I've been equally happy with both cars.
