Just for the sake of following up - after making sure all the connections were secure and everything was right, I cleared the electrical code to get rid of my CEL because I felt fairly confident the issue had been resolved. It's been almost 3 days and the CEL has not returned, yay!
I guess the positive cable was loose and eventually came disconnected, which caused the code in the first place. After fixing it everything is fine.
Thanks for responding to me! You being so sure P1515 was battery related helped me connect the dots. I'm quite happy about it
