Just purchased the M5 shift knob/boot after years of contemplating. The leather around the emblem is wearing out on the original shifter. Thought about replacing it with a new one but wanted to see what the fuss is all about. It took me awhile to do this because there just wasn't a need(I guess there still isn't as the shifter isn't broken or anything, ha!) But will see why many of you went this route. Really appreciate the tips and pictures.
