what do you mean you accidentally hit his foot? were there girls around that he was trying to impress? seems like an arrogant prick. you did the right thing by walking away, fighting him would not solve anything. he'll get whats coming to him with the attitude he has.
if there's any damage to the phone ask him to cover the repairs. if he declines, write him off as a friend i reckon..
