I have the Alex Alpine tune. I love it and he's great to work with.
I did the rod bearings, resonated test pipes, thermostat, spark plugs, motor mounts, and tune at the same time so it really feels like a whole new car.
I'v never heard the ACM mod in person so I can't comment on it. This is probably as loud as I would ever want it though. Just right.

I got the Alpine stage 2 tune as well for my current setup (test pipe + secondary cat + resonator + stock muffler) and the overrun is barely present. I will get the occasional burble but no pops and nothing you can hear unless you really really listen.
