Just about everything is production limited right now. I'd speculatively agree that chips or other constrained resources may be diverted away from it to other higher priority models. Still, we know it's not a high demand model - nor was it expected or intended to be. Hence why such de-prioritization seems reasonable. Whether or not sales pick back up going forward remains to be seen. Even if they do, it would likely take a major turning of tides to keep it in the lineup past the end the current generation model's lifespan. Having said that, I think there's a chance that a viable business case for an electric two seater from BMW could present itself sometime after 2035 or so.
