So bring this thread back to life, I need to update my last post. After about 2k more miles, my throw out bearing let go.

Was in heavy traffic in Orlando when my clutch pedal didn't come back when I depressed it. Ended up pumping it and was able to get going. After I heard a pop, the engagement became VERY stiff and squealed a lot.

Got it home by riding 6th on the interstate the whole way. But pulled the transmission and I found that the throw out bearing had disintegrated. The bearing housing was in 5 pieces along with a lot of ball bearings. Ball bearings were in the clutch as were ribbons of metal; it might have been ok but I'm sure its shelf life would have been shorted. The dual-mass flywheel also had a bunch of bearing noises inside of it.

So as part of my phase 2 upgrade, I'm replacing all the clutch parts including use of a Spec TwinDisk and UCP. CDV removal is done as well, the clutch action should be vastly improved now.

But my TOB went out with about 84k miles.
