I had my custom tune from a local tuner, compare to ESS tune and Dinan tune I had before, it is way more aggressive and responsive. If some one has the equipment to do a OBD tune, then I think he will never harm your motor since he knows what he is doing. In the other hand, who sells you a tune but doesn't know anything about tuning would potentially damage your car.
