its largely a trial and error thing. your driving style, car setup, and local tracks are going to dictate how you like to brake.
i'm not too experienced either. i've only ran three different pads in my 5060 brakes so far, ds2500's, dsuno's, and ds1.11's (in that order). i discovered i really liked the bite of the uno's. you'll sort of figure out what you like as you move through different pads.
