Thanks guys- we're going to take a look at it @ the shop on Monday next week and see what we want to do. For one of my friends who rubbed enough to create a leak, he wasn't able to fill anymore fluid. He ended up mitigating it on another car of his (long story) by putting a metal plate over the rub spot. He's running similar spring rates, around 550/800 too.
I've got a friend at a dealership nearby, so yea good idea dparm - I might ask him for his expertise.
