Make sure that your old mac and new mac are running the same versions of iTunes.
Copy your itunes folder from your old computer, to your new computer. When you start itunes, if it doesn't see the songs, then close itunes, and open itunes with the OPTION button held down. Then itunes will ask you where your music library files are and you should be good to go.
