First of all the built quality of this shifter was very nice. IMO it was worth every penny as I didn't like the shift the way the stock shifter felt. The shift on the rtd is really short, no slop, and very easy to install.

The only complaint I have is the shifter not coming with a rubber seal for the chassis mounting areat. Without that rubber cover expect all types of noise and air to channel through that mounting point. Eventually I couldn't handle the noise and amount of dust that was accumulating in the interior. So what i did to fix this issue was by using the oem rubber cover and cutting the bottom half where the thick mounting point is. Then apply some silicon glue to mount the rubber seal on the RTD shifter. This basically reduced all the noise and the air from channeling in.
I highly recommend doing this if you plan on getting this shifter.

Great write up and adding pics. I’m ordering my shifter this week. I’m wondering if the RTD shifter has any rattles etc. I had an IRP in my other car and it rattled quite a bit. I would like to hear your review on this. Thanks
