I was reviewing the AiM data from the 1:40 lap times and the two most significant turns where I lose time are Turn 3 (right) and turn 6 (left)
I just can't add any gas there. I tried steering with the throttle, or lifting to rotate the rear. While it helped, the turn is too long and neither gave me enough turning advantage.
There are 1/2 seconds in other turns like 8-9-10 sequence and end of turn 12
3 and 6 are long turns that I just wait forever. There is at least 1 second in each turn.
So, what's the plan?
1. First, I will try to time it so I can come to the next NYST with a fresh RR on the front. Will see what it does. Being it 235/35/19 it is on the narrow side
2. I am looking at the 245/35/19 options. I can do Cap 2 or Trofoe R.
The theory would be that if the cap 2 or the Trofoe R are close to the RR, then the 245 can help.
The rears are happy with the RR 295/30/19 so that would stay constant.
I tried the 265/30/19 Trofoe R two years ago with stock camber and stock suspension. It was eaten up (outside wall) with not much benefit.
My next track day is Lime Rock open track for 4 hours. I am going into that one with fresh RR set. I have limited experience at Lime Rock so it will be hard to draw conclusions.
