Ah, but you are not the BMW marketing department trying to sell the car to everyone with ~$75+ k to burn on a new car in 2014. Not to mention it looks REALLY good to people from outside the BMW family to see the improvements in HP, TQ, and MPG from a previous model as these types of people (I am generalizing here) would not really care about the differences in engine characteristics (redline, feel, etc) between the models. I would argue that it's much more of a black-and-white argument for most.

For those of us fortunate to have experienced the s65, however, there is a whole lot of grey in the debate of changing model years...and I'll be damned if I give up my V8 just yet!
