i've been driving around without a front plate since 2008
been caught once
took a picture with the plate mounted to the judge
paid the feee
then promptly took it off again
now i travel with my front plate attached to the front tow hook mount in the trunk
so when i get pulled over i can say oops i forgot to attach it when i washed my car, and i can install it then and there (i have the 19mm socket on a wrench in thr trunk)
only negative is my car has to be clean all the time to pull that off
