Just bumping up this thread. I did mine I think 20k miles ago, don't really remember. Well I was checking the level, and it was fine, but it smelled really really burnt.
I decided to do it again today. Fresh Pentosin fluid is a very light blue fluid. Mine was a gold color. Keep in mind I used Pentosin to begin with, so it definitely changed color.
I think it's because I did so many mountain runs (really tight roads so the power steering gets a work out) plus 1 full track day.
So yea, replace your fluid on a regular basis. It's cheap, and only takes 5 mins if you do baster method
