It takes a lot of things coming together at the same time for something like that to happen. A few of them are:
  • an individual or company willing to blow a few expensive S65 motors in the pursuit of that kind of power
  • a massive amount of money for forced induction, testing, replacing, labor, and development of new internals to handle the added stress - plus stronger transmission components and drive axles
  • months, or even years for testing, development, and more testing

ESS has a 1,000hp build in progress at the moment, but add in the factors above, and progress can be slow.
