Yep I did. 37k miles, similar shape or maybe better, hard to judge from pictures. Would have hold for plenty miles more Im sure but like you figured cheaper to do them too early than too late. Also interesting to confirm that current maintenance and useage style seems fine. On top bought the car with 11k on the clock so wasnt sure about previous treatment. All good now.
What shells and bolts did you end up using mate?
Yes, I forgot to mention that I purchased my car with around 50k miles and the previous owner supplied me with a Manila folder with mostly all the previous maintenance done and his oil changes were about 5-7500 tops. So from what I can tell is it was "well maintained" to a certain extent.


I went with what Malek recommended which was the Clevite Calico CT-1 Coated Extra Clearance Rod Bearing Set.

How about you?
Those are the VAC bearings, correct?
