Have you ever considered run-flats? The selection is a bit limited and the ride quality typically gets a bit stiffer, but it's a viable option if you are worried about getting stranded.

Ride quality of RFs sucks, especially on suspension not designed for them. Also will not help you if you have more catastrophic damage like hitting a large piece of sharp metal.
