Looks to me you did a great job considering.
95% of the GT4 lips I've seen have off fitment . Gaps etc.
Like you've proved the best chance to eliminate this is taking your time, using adequate hardware (sometimes different then provided), and have a set of 2 hands to keep things aligned.
