Wow....Sorry to hear other's are having that issue. The YouTube link referenced in one of the first responses was my 08 M3. I went through two of them and finally got an 09 that did not have the problem. It was the main bearing. I am surprised it is still happening on 09+ cars as they changed the bearings. I now almost have 20K miles on my car w/o any ticking. I'll have to recheck.
