The more I read anything about the upcoming M3 the more I'm convinced this current generation is the last purpose built M3 ever. Yeah the next one will be purpose built as well but driver focus will be compromised with an emphasis on fuel economy. An ingredient I believe is going to conspire to ruin the car for the enthusiast. I understand what BMW must do here, but I don't have to like it or buy it.
