Yeah, and even if so, I think of software changes as distinct from actual hardware upgrades.

Good point about the tires - that’s another place where features diverge.

Looking at the M4 CS interior again to refresh my memory, I can’t figure out why they decided not to go with the Alcantara bolsters for the M3 CS. I thought maybe the theme was carried into the rear seats and, because of differences between the coupe and sedan rear seats, they would have needed some unique Alcantara pieces for the M3 CS. But it looks to me like the M4 CS back seats are just black leather and identical to the standard black M4 seats. Maybe they thought sedan buyer would prefer all four seats to match? Even if so, I don’t know what would have been so hard about using Alcantara on the outer bolster surfaces of the rear seats on both cars.
