The two things that will cause wear like that are too much camber and a toe out condition. How many miles on on the rear tires? I've had to replace my fronts recently do to a very similar looking tire, but I had 30,000+ miles on them and ran a lot more camber than you run in the rear.

Your camber is not excessive but many of us find -1.5 in back to be plenty particularly if this is a street only car. I suspect the toe out condition is probably what accelerated the wear in the rear and it looks like they fixed it with the new alignment.
