The m3 is a fun car to drive fast (the way the engine keeps building speed as the revs climb, the quickness of the DCT shifts, and the way the chassis flows through the curves). The f-type is more fun to cruise around in (hearing the exhaust cracking, getting the attention from everybody, coming hard off the line from a stop every chance you get, etc).
It's like deciding between steak or sushi. Depending on the occasion but neither are bad choices.
