The use of Glympse is not very intuitive.

Here are a few tips:
You won't see it listed as a BMP App, not even in the BMW Connected App's listing of Apps.

A Quick How2:
First, set up a destination in your BMW iDrive as if you will drive to it now.
Then plug in the iPhone, and then run the Glympse iPhone App. After a moment or two, you'll get a BMW logo on your iPhone and you'll know you're connected.
[the following instructions pertain to the BMW-side iDrive]
On "Connected Drive" in the iDrive menu, you will see Glympse appear.
You have options such as send a Glympse. Select that. You can then decide whom to SEND the Glympse to. I picked my address book and scrolled through it until I found my email address. When you select that, you're taken back up to the name selection menu. The U.I. is a bit flawed, because you have to "back" out a few times to get up high enough to then select your destination -- here you can chose a new one, recents, or your present navigation destination (which is why it's good to do it via iDrive prior to invoking Glympse on the iPhone.

It's a good step, as I really like Glympse. I'm sure familiarity with the interface will help, but it's a tiny bit clunky right now.
