This appears to be clearcoat damage, but it is smooth to the touch. I think it's beneath the clearcoat. I read BMW is not spot-on with prepping the panels before paint, and that's what I'm dealing with here. I made a few passes with DA and reluctant to cut any further to try and smooth bc I also read BMW skimp on clear coating. I have a few spots on my top panels I'd like to polish out. Does anyone have experience correcting this and how? I guess I can drive to my local body shop, but I'm bored tonight, and haven't posted here in years
