That lobe is how the camber arm secures to the subframe. Alignment aside, it is dangerous if you cannot properly bolt the camber arm which carrys the weight of the car to the subframe. Your camber is also set by the eccentric bolt that goes through it so it follows that you couldn't possibly align correctly if its sheared.

Source a used one if looking for a cheaper replacement.
